Corn ROI Formula
The ROI calculation has three parts:
Revenue = Acres × Yield × Corn price
Profit = Revenue − Total cost
ROI % = (Profit ÷ Total cost) × 100
Example
160 acres, 200 bu/ac yield, $4.50/bu corn, $850/ac total cost:
Revenue = 160 × 200 × $4.50 = $144,000
Total cost = 160 × $850 = $136,000
Profit = $144,000 − $136,000 = $8,000
ROI = ($8,000 ÷ $136,000) × 100 = 5.9%
